There is something special I need to share with you!
There is something special I need to share with you!
The other night I was laying in bed feeling absolutely exhausted. Beyond exhausted and feeling like this beady career life with a balance of family was just way way too much. As I am unloading on my unconditional ear, I got this incredible message on Etsy from a woman who had purchase a bunch of my kits on ETSY. I was overwhelmed with inspiration and delight! What a woman! Meet Jean Marie! Check out her story and her incredible work!
Hi Eleanor,
I just finished the beading on my rendition of Lizzy.
I call him Rainbow Lizard, might name him Reggie.
Anywho, just had to share that.
In addition Sassy, the Ostrich with attitude and a Dove in progress.
Again thank you for helping me find my passion.
Just a tiny bit more more about me and how losing myself in my art helps me SO much.
In a few weeks I will turn 60. This is beating the odds every day as the expected lifespan for a person with my progressive disability, specifically Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy is 50-55 without lung involvement. I have lung involvement - currently I have 30% vital lung capacity compared to what it should be for someone my age.
I am essentially quadriplegic due to advanced stage Muscular Dystrophy.
Concentrating on what I can do and enjoying it and creating things that make me smile and make my loved ones smile is helpful to me in so many ways.
It was not until I tried bead embroidery of animals with several of your kits that my focus became fixed. Each piece that I do spurns the thoughts of 5 more I want to try. I never tire of it. Is that obsession?
It is truly a sanctuary for me and if I can inspire, encourage, empower someone else I see that a blessing.
Thank you Eleanor!
